FREE DENTAL CARE Emily and her kittens came to America from the Middle East. Emily was a street cat in Turkey where she was rescued just seconds before being struck by a car. She was fully pregnant and sat down in the road to rest when our volunteer swept her out of traffic. That night, Emily gave birth. Emily is very loving but prefers a quiet household without dogs or young children. She is ok with other gentle cats, but would thrive as queen of the castle or in an environment where she could be adopted as a pair along with one of her 6 month old kittens. Though she does not care to be picked up, she will snuggle up with you - especially if there's a seat near the window where she can keep an eye on the bird feeder. Emily likes to roll on her back to show her contentment. She's a good eater, loves her wet food and keeps her coat very clean. She's curious and sweet but not comfortable in a loud or overly active household. As Emily came from thousands of miles to escape the culture of violence that so often leads to a tragic death for cats and dogs, we're looking for a very responsible, intuitive and compassionate caregiver for her. She's current on all her veterinary work but we would like for her to have a dental cleaning in a few months time and we will cover the cost of that procedure. Emily is an absolute jewel and we can't wait to find her the purrfect home.
